Lytle-Barnett Vintage Brut is our flagship wine. It’s the one that we really feel that most people are drawn to when they think about the Champagne Category. Vintage Brut is the centerpiece to the Lytle-Barnett lineup
The bubbles are made in the vintage methode champenoise tradition. Handpicked in the Willamette Valley then gently pressed whole cluster in a pneumatic press. The Pinot Noir Cuvee is kept separate and fermented in stainless and oak barrels. We bottle early in summer and leave it to age for a minimum of 3 years sur latte (on their sides). At disgorge and dosage we don’t think the wine needs a lot of sugar so only add about 2-3 grams per liter. The wine then rests for another 3 months before release.
With undertones of baking spice with lemon curd, white flower and delicate wild red fruits. The ethereal quality of the bubbles brings grace to the swirling flowers in the glass. The finish closes on a mix of fruit and yeast-derived flavors punctuated by dry, crisp acidity.
