The first light in the glass shows a straw-yellow-hued wine with a lovely gold glint, and once you get your nose into the glass you feel awash in mature peach-apricot aromatics, lemongrass, and rosehips. The palate shows a beautiful structure of acid, great balance, and long finish, tinged with notes of paraffin, dusty fruit, baked apple, tangerine, and lime leaf. The palate is crisp and bright, shows a slight trace of residual sugar, and has final hints of lavender syrup, watermelon candy, and dusty rose. This is the most truly ageable version of Ribbon Ridge Riesling, and not only will it get continue to evolve in the glass long after it is open, but it will continue to get better in the bottle - if you can stop yourself from opening them all.
